Summary:

The Field Service Engineer is responsible for executing installation projects for our Ferroguard products at the customer facilities. Assistance with project planning takes place at least 6 weeks before installation, the Field Service Engineer is critical to product installation planning and success. The Field Service Engineer is heavily involved with communication with the install team, customer and 3rd party contractors. Professional communication skills are required and critical to customer interaction.

Seeking a Field Service Engineer with 3+ year’s academic/work, equivalent military experience to join our high-growth company where your efforts will take us to the next level of success. We are seeking a high performer who has the ability to critically analyze and clearly communicate vision and expectations. Must be able to work independently with limited supervision traveling 80-95% of the time to perform on-site installation, coordination, training and technical support of Metrasens MRI safety products in the North American MRI market.

Required Education and Experience:

Minimum technical certification/diploma, or 2 Year College Degree. At least 3 years’ experience working in field services installation of high-tech equipment.

Travel: 80 to 95%

Desired Skills and Experience:

Experience with the technical installation of MRI related technologies a plus, training in electronics (magnetic, radio frequency, field sensors and systems) and experience in the medical imaging field and product- training experience is highly desirable.
This position involves conducting in-service training with staff members after each installation.

  • High interaction and collaboration with Metrasens core technical UK team, US management team based in Lisle, IL and Metrasens distribution partners for the continuous improvement and product refinement of the Metrasens product offering
  • Continuous and repeat interaction with installed customer base to monitor customer satisfaction and acquire market feedback for continuous improvement, reference sites or testimonials
  • Must be proficient in the use of basic hand tools and service test equipment consistent with high tech sensory equipment.
  • Tech savvy with a high level of proficiency in Microsoft Office programs such as Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and customer relationship management (CRM) software such as Salesforce
  • Enhanced communication skills with the ability troubleshoot and advise clients
  • Must be able to complete and generate timely reports
  • Must be a DIY individual

Summary:

Metrasens Ferroguard products are deployed at MRI facilities in hospitals and outpatient clinics. The Field Service Manager will be responsible for managing high profile installation projects for our Ferroguard products. Project planning takes place at least 6 weeks before installation and is crucial to a success. Up to 10 projects at a time are in progress. Up to 2 field service engineers and a trainer are typically required to execute installation. The Field Service Manager is heavily involved with communication with the install team, customer and 3rd party contractors. Professional communication skills are of utmost priority.

Essential functions:

  • As the point of contact for customers, the Field Services Manager leads, coordinates and schedules and manages progress of multiple projects of varying scope. Communicates effectively to all levels of customer and company contacts.
  • Manages and monitors field service team performance in conjunction with director of service and customer service manager.
  • Hosts conference calls in a professional manner in order facilitate successful planning of customer purchased product.
  • Provides highly skilled technical advice and assistance to customers, 3rd party contractors and end users.
  • Responds to inquiries about projects.
  • Chairs various project review and pre-submittal meetings.
  • Keeps rigorous record keeping in Sales Force and other systems to ensure progress of jobs and payment of commissions.
  • Coordinates schedules of staff and other interested parties.
  • Travels onsite when needed for installations (peak volume), planning and team coordination.

Required Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in technical project management or technical diploma w/equivalent experience. At least 3 years of project coordination experience, or other combination of management of projects, field service staff, scheduling technical resources.

Preferred Education and Experience:

Biomed equipment, Electrical Industry experience
