National Correctional Officers Week 2021 takes place May 2 – May 8, 2021. The week honors and celebrates correctional officers for their dedication and commitment to their profession.

On May 5, 1984, President Reagan proclaimed the first full week of May as National Correctional Officers Week.  Agencies around the United States will be recognizing staff with special events commemorating the contributions of correctional officers in our jails, prisons, and community corrections facilities.

This year, Metrasens is proud to provide a daily post from select staff sharing their experiences and personal stories reinforcing our commitment to the men and women taking the risks to safeguard our communities.

We hope you find these posts useful during National Correctional Officers Week 2021, and beyond.
