Metrasens Ltd. were nominated as finalists in the 2010 Electronic Design eLegacy awards for the category of security applications. The FG1 security pole was nominated for its innovative electronic design that allows highly sensitive magnetic sensors to detect weak magnetic fields in real world environments. The awards ceremony took place in the Kensington Roof Gardens, London, during September 9th. There were three other finalists for the security applications category, selected from a large field of entries ranging from small start-ups to huge multinationals. This category was won by Texas Instruments for a new video processor chip.e-legacy awards finalist

Metrasens Wins Inaugural Iaward

Metrasens has won the inaugural Iaward for Cross application of technology. The award was presented at the British Science museum on Monday 16th November.

Launched by the Government to recognise and celebrate the best of British science, innovation and technology, the iawards are backed by Science and Innovation Minister Lord Drayson and leading businessman James Caan.

duke of York vistits MetrasensThe Duke of York visited Metrasens Ltd at the Malvern Hills Science Park as part of his visit to the Malvern Hills Area. Prince Andrew toured the Science Park and the leading defence and technology company QinetiQ before opening the multi-million pound sports complex at Malvern College. As the UK’s special representative for international trade and investment, the Duke of York travels the world promoting British businesses.

Prince Andrew showed particular interest in Metrasens’ MRI safety product, Ferroguard.
